Three Dark Crowns Book Review

hello my lovelies,

Today post is a little bit different then my usual posts. I saw that I haven’t reviewed a book in a long time, and I thought that I should start doing that again. I was event so close to record a video and do a book review, but my shyness got the best of me and just was happy with what I recorded. Moving on, if you guys are interested let me know in the comments below if you want me to do a book review in a video. Back to the book review, today I want to review Three Dark Crowns, I’m sure you’ve heard of it, and if not then this post is for you. I should mention that this will be spoiler free.

The Story is about, triplet sisters, three queens, essentially competing for the throne.  Katharine, Arsinoe and Mirabella each live in different parts of the land, each have a different power, and each have a different group of supporters aiding them. Each sister has to fight for THE CROWN. And it’s not just a game of win or loses…it’s a life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.

In this case, Katharine is a poisoner who wields deadly cocktails; Arsinoe is a naturalist – at one with nature and animals – and not very good at it (nobody expects her to win the throne); Mirabella is an elemental and clearly the strongest of the three, her powers by far the most developed.

When kingdom come, there will be one.

My Thoughts,

You have to admit, that sounds pretty evil and … amazing! I wish it held up to its story, I felt the concept is already strong, but it felt boring in the first half. The second half of the book, I got so interested, and because I fell asleep reading the first half I forgot some of the characters names that I actually went back and forth. However, there is a good side to this book, and there is a light. The ending is very amazing, and you should keep reading it until you get to the ending.  The story is actually darker then you think, some parts were so predicted but it still got me like  21969057

Rating: 3.5/5 stars! Interesting after the second half

Let me know if you read this book or if your interested in reading it, and if you already have, who was your favorite queen?

Nineteen Minutes Book Review

Title: Nineteen Minutes
Author: Jodi Picoult
Genre: Thriller
Publisher: Atria
Pages: 455
Price: $30

Book Description

In nineteen minutes, you can mow the front lawn, color your hair, watch a third of a hockey game. In nineteen minutes, you can bake scones or get a tooth filled by a dentist; you can fold laundry for a family of five….In nineteen minutes, you can stop the world, or you can just jump off it. In nineteen minutes, you can get revenge.

Sterling is a small, ordinary New Hampshire town where nothing ever happens — until the day its complacency is shattered by a shocking act of violence. In the aftermath, the town’s residents must not only seek justice in order to begin healing but also come to terms with the role they played in the tragedy. For them, the lines between truth and fiction, right and wrong, insider and outsider have been obscured forever. Josie Cormier, the teenage daughter of the judge sitting on the case, could be the state’s best witness, but she can’t remember what happened in front of her own eyes. And as the trial progresses, fault lines between the high school and the adult community begin to show, destroying the closest of friendships and families.

My thoughts

I honestly… Honestly!! think I just found my favorite book. I’m staring at my screen for the longest time just trying to put what I think of this book and why its my favorite. Lets start with when I bought the book, I thought this is a chick flick romance with a thriller, reading the cover description got me more interested. Started reading this book and its like each page takes you in one page at a time until your done reading half of it and cant stop, I remember when I read it I didn’t eat, drink, blink for 5 or 7 hours. This book got me emotional on so many levels, its just so sad, and so unfair.

I am assuming you haven’t read the book so I don’t want to give away any spoiler at all because I love this book so much and I want everyone to read it. This book came out 2007, I read this book this week and it is sooo related and so informative even to this day!!! If you are a teacher, a parent, a student, a lover, a family member READ THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

Let me know your thoughts about this book, because I need someone to talk to about it lol

This book is not my favorite, but it is very close to me. I would read it again, some events that happen in the book I felt were unnecessary but then again it’s a story. The description of the town and the library made me feel that I was living there and walking down the streets of the town. I like how the story is set in a small town that you can only get to it by a boat, I always dreamed of living in a town like that having one library in town though is a bit sad to me. Anyways, aside from that I like all the characters, the little kid is adorable she reminded me of Matilda (if you never seen the movie GO and watch it NOW). This book was the kind of book that made me awwhh, warm, sad, happy, smile, and loved. I suggest all book readers and book lovers to go and read this book. You will find A.J a bit of a jerk at the begging but then you will fall in love with him. I love reading book but I don’t pay attention for grammar and writing style I just like reading the story, and this story I found it very good.
