Good Morning Beauties,
As you may have known in 2016, this was the most talked about highlighting palette. The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection sold out online within a day. I was working the day it was launched and I knew I needed to get my hands on it no matter what. I had my sister wake up early and buy one for the both of us! Some may think that being Jaclyn’s fan might have make my review biased but I believe in Jaclyn because she is the most trusted beauty blogger on YouTube. I’ve been using this palette for a fair amount of time now and wanted to share my thoughts.
The packaging is delightful and it’s bigger than I expected. The palette contains two highlighters and three cheek shades. It comes with the protective film inside that has the names of the shades on it and you don’t need to save it because they are actually listed on the back of the palette too.
Top Row L-R: Rose Spritz, Amaretto & Pamplemousse Bottom Row L-R: Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop
This palette contains: – 2 x 0.19 oz shimmering skin perfector pressed highlighter shades in champagne pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones), prosecco pop (medium warm gold) – 2 x 0.12 oz mineral blush in amaretto (matte toasted almond), pamplemousse (satin/matte warm coral pink) – 0.10 oz luminous blush in rosé spritz (soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer)
what it is formulated without: – parabens – sulfates – phthalates what else you need to know: the new highlighter in the prosecco pop shade is inspired by liquid gold.sold-out in an hour when released today!100% authentic.
It’s not that easy to capture the highlight on the camera, but I hope you are able to see it. The Prosecco Pop is definitely a warmer one.
- Pretty, Classy packaging
- Mixes together nicely
- Very pigmented
- Great pan sizes
- Good for most skin tones
- Good Variety of blushes
- Last through all day
- Not cheap
- I heard that it doesn’t show on fair skin tones, but my sister has a pale skin tone and it POPS! but maybe it’s not for anything paler
- Dry powder, not creamy
- Blushes are too pigmented, it overwhelming sometime
Overall, I can’t live without this product, I think I will use it until I hit pan. I’ve been using this since I got it last June and it still looks like I haven’t used much. I love the pigments. I actually mix my highlighters together; I don’t just use one because – come on girls – you can never have enough highlight. I can’t really say anything bad about this product because it gives me what I need. Will I use anything else? I’m not sure at this point because I’m on a love journey with this product and it won’t end anytime soon. I also want to mention, that Jaclyn Hill is an amazing person and I listen to her recommendations all the time. She never ever disappoints me. To conclude my review – is this palette worth it? DEFINITELY!
